Piano Guys Christmas concert

#fifthwheel
I went to the Piano Guys Christmas concert this year with Paul, Ashlee, Tyler, and Lindsey.  We first went to Wild Zucchini and got Iceberg shakes at the concert to eat while listening to the piano and cello music.  This evening was as enjoyable as last year when I went and I look forward to going again.

A Family Christmas

Kelsie, Josh, and I went to The Piano Guys concert last night and it was amazing!  They played a mix of Christmas songs (my favorite was Angels We Have Heard on High) and normal songs (my all-time favorite, Love Story Meets Viva la Vida).  It hasn't really felt like Christmas to me this season, which is totally my fault, but this concert definitely helped me get on the right track.  We ended with everyone singing Silent Night together and it was beautiful.  The piano has always been my favorite instrument, but Steven Sharp Nelson sure makes the cello come close to the top.

The Piano Guys

Kels and I went to The Piano Guys concert with Jon Schmidt and Steven Sharp Nelson.  It was rainy and we didn't have a good view, but it was amazing to hear them live.  It was a lot of fun and we warmed up with hot chocolate when we got home.

Here are two of my favorites that they played:

Riverwoods

Last Friday, I went down to Riverwoods with some of my friends to listen to Jon Schmidt play. There were a few singers before him, but he finally came on stage. He played some Christmas songs and then he started to play my all-time favorite song of his. It is called Love Story meets Viva la Vida and it is so pretty! Hearing this song gives me the chills, especially hearing it in person. His dancing makes me laugh but he is just so good.

One of my Dreams

I absolutely love to read, hence my new blog background. Also, I love playing the piano even though I sometimes say otherwise. Both of those just bring such peace and happiness, which sound gaggy but are totally true. So what I dream of having one day is a ginormous library (like the one in Beauty and the Beast in the Beast's castle) and a black grand piano or a vintage looking one. This dream of mine will most likely not happen unless I get a great job or marry a rich man. So I guess we will see what happens! I just love the look of old books and the smell is fantastic even though most would say that they smell moldy.

Michael Ethington

When I went to Swiss Days, Lindsey and I heard some of Michael Ethington's hymn arrangements. They are so pretty! We bought a CD and a piano book so I could hopefully one day be able to play them. But who knows when that day will come...
