A while back, me and my friends Austin, Ian, and Miranda built a fire and then chose to do something with it that was pretty much stupid. It was super fun at the time, but then my dad got kind of angry with us and we smelled awful. In our garden, we have a lot of old grass that smells nasty. So what we did was while Miranda and Ian were inside getting flour to make the fire bigger, Austin and I went and got huge handfuls of the old grass and we piled it onto the fire. Immediately after putting it on there, a ton of thick, gross-smelling smoke enveloped us while we were laughing and trying not to breathe it in. It wasn't long before my whole backyard was filled with smoke and even the inside of my house smelled really bad. So that's why my dad got mad at us, although I can't blame him. But by the next morning, it didn't smell like the smoke anymore. If you look closely at the fire in the picture, you can see some of the grass that was still burning. It was a really fun night, but one that I wouldn't do again!
Excuse me? My car smelled like your grassy smoke for a week. UGH! The neighborhood stunk for days. And ps. Dad does not get mad :)
ReplyDeleteLove you! Mom
It was your fault that your windows were down. And you can tell when dad isn't the happiest. I love you too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun memory Miss Abby, smelly fire and all. Moldy grass does smell yucky in the fire!! I'm glad you blogged about it. In years to come you'll be laughing about it with your friends.
